Speedball R

Got this seat post last week in the mail on sale for $149 from beyondbikes.com. A bit heavier than your typical seat post, but gone are the days when I need to stop to adjust my seat height. It's controlled with a thumb tab that's mounted on the handlebars. Easy & quick to adjust for whatever the trail has to offer. Wasn't sure 3" would completely satisfy my desires for on the fly seat adjustability, but after riding Hall Ranch yesterday I can say 3" is within the range I've been adjusting it manually.

Good to be riding again.

bike frame

hey Curt, what do you think of this frame? ... it's the one I mentioned. GT LTS 2000

I've told a guy I was going to donate it to community cycles, but maybe you'd be interested in building it out? not sure how much it'd cost me to mail it. Anyway, figured I'd have you check it out.

here's a pic of squaw peak. Clay and I decided to have a ride down memory lane while in UT.

busted pedal

I busted my pedal a week or so ago and hope warranty covers the replacement costs. I also bent a ring on my cassette a few weeks back. Got that replaced with the warranty so that was cool. The wiper on my shock came off last ride and was leaking oil so I got that checked out at the shop today - $10 and they said to let'm know if I have any more problems.

Looking at a new crank set

Yo - this post is more for Curt because he has the local know-how in Boise to do this, but would this crank set fit my bike. I currently have LX so I don't see what the problem would be.
Auction ID 170151490239 on ebay.
Let me know so I can buy it baby!

New Crankset?

What's up mtn biking brothers? I have determined I need to get a new crankset for my bike. I was riding to work the other day and stopped at a stop light. I did not clip out of my pedals because I wanted to look like a bad-ass.

That was going well until the light turned green and I put some force behind the pedals. My chain slipped/fell off and I tipped over in the road. I went from bad to just plain ass in seconds. Since then, I have had a lot of slipping on the middle ring so I am going to replace it.

Any suggestions?

Curt, do you have the tools/know how for doing the switcheroo?
